Delivery Slots

Delivery Slots lets your customers pick the delivery day and time window that actually suits them — from a booking icon in the header while they browse, or straight in the checkout shipping step. Every slot is capacity-checked, so your drivers are never promised more deliveries than they can make, and missed-delivery redeliveries stop eating your margin.

Why it matters

• Fewer failed deliveries. Customers choose a window they will be home for, get a reminder e-mail and an add-to-calendar file, and can reschedule themselves from My Account — instead of calling your support desk.
• Scarcity that converts. A slot booked from the header is held for 30 minutes while the customer shops, and the "N left" hint on each window nudges them to finish checkout.
• No overbooking, ever. Capacity is enforced per slot, per date and per day under a database lock at order placement — two simultaneous checkouts cannot both take the last slot.
• Your delivery ops get real tooling. A bookings grid joined with order data doubles as the driver's daily manifest (CSV/Excel export), and a capacity overview shows the next two weeks' load per method at a glance.
• Pricing that reflects the trip. Flat, distance-based (Google Distance Matrix), base fee, minimum charge, free-above threshold and per-slot surcharges — priced per delivery method.
