The Magento 2 Open Graph Tags extension enhances your online store's compatibility with popular social networks by providing standardized meta tags for various page types in your store. This ensures that when a customer shares one of your products, categories or CMS pages on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, or any other platform supporting the Open Graph protocol, the shared content will display correctly and attractively to increase engagement and potential sales.

  • The extension automatically adds default Open Graph tags for product, category, and CMS page types in Magento 2.
  • You can override these tags with custom values if needed.
  • This extension does not affect how your content is displayed on your site; it only affects the data shared when your pages are linked on social media platforms.

The following Open Graph meta tags are supported by this extension: 

og:title
og:description
og:type
og:url
og:locale
og:image (for product only)
You can easily extend the support for other content types like blogs or custom page types.
